A problem has a resolution you control

In life, you need to identify whether something is a problem or simply inconvenient for your own good. Otherwise, you could spend a lifetime worrying about fresh air.

A problem has a solution that’s within your power to identify, whereas something that’s inconvenient requires a change of attitude because you have no control over the problem.

Using the word “inconvenient” is an incredible understatement. For example, the war in Ukraine for the majority of people in the world is an inconvenience because it’s not a problem they can resolve. The only people who can consider it a problem are the Ukrainian government and President Putin. You can add any other sovereign threat to the list of things that are an inconvenience.

The majority of information shared by the general media falls into the inconvenient category because they generally share other people’s problems.

Even the problems of your nearest and dearest fall into the inconvenient category because as much as you would like, you can’t fix their problems for them. You can offer advice, but then again, you can offer advice regarding every injustice in the world. It doesn’t mean it will be followed.

As I mentioned earlier a problem has a solution that’s within power to identify, however, if you identify a solution to your problem but choose not follow it, you’re going to have to label your problem an inconvenience.

I’ll leave you with one final thought. There are a lot of problems in this world, however, very few of them are yours.

P.S. worrying about something you can’t control is a waste of your time and energy.
