I heard somebody say, “cause and effect is something only privileged people can believe in.” I dispute those words because everybody benefits from the sun’s existence regardless of their history.
Because the Sun exists so do we.
Because the Sun sets everyday we can expect the Sun to rise every morning.
Because the Sun rises in the same place every morning we know the earth rotates or the Sun travels around the Earth.
Because the Sun rises we can use its light to guide us during the day.
Because the Sun is far enough away from us we appreciate its heat.
Because the Sun is heavy enough we don’t drift away from our orbit.
Because the Sun will eventually burn its way through its fuel our scientists are developing ways for the human race to survive without it.
We are like the Sun, because we are born we will surely die. That’s something that’s guaranteed to everybody too because we’re not any more powerful than the Sun, however, our lifetime will not be as long as our Sun.
If you ever wake up in the morning and the Sun hasn’t risen, either it’s not morning or you will never awaken. If you live at the North or South pole, this line is not for you.
Everybody benefits equally for the sun, however, not everybody appreciates those benefits equally.
