“At the end of the day, let there be no excuses, no explanations, no regrets.” ~Steve Maraboli.
People are responsible for their actions, if their actions require them to make excuses, they shouldn’t act.
On the other hand, if people think about the consequences of their actions and then act; no excuses are necessary.
Cause and effect exists: The moment you throw the smallest pebble in to a pond it will create ripples that will spread across the entire pond. You can’t stop those ripples by saying, I’m sorry I threw the pebble.
It’s the same with your actions, and just like you have no control over the ripples on the pond, the moment you act you send out ripples which will affect every area of your life. The only thing you can control is whether you act or not.
Remember. You will be forever judged by your words and actions regardless of what people may say. People may forgive but they never forget.
The result of having to apologize: People who have to apologize for their actions are forever changed in the eyes of the recipient because the trust they had in that person is gone for good. Trust is an illusion, once it’s shattered, no apology is good enough to make it reappear. I’ll leave you with one final thought:
I’m sorry I didn’t think, is not an acceptable excuse, you’ve got to accept responsibility for your actions, not make excuses for them.

Three things you cannot recover in life are, your word once spoken, a moment once past and trust once given away.
