Nobody’s Self-Image Should Be Linked to a Product

It's time to protect the children from believing a brand is somehow going to make their lives better. When a young person’s self-image is dependent upon the brand on their clothes or the products they purchase, you know the world has gone a step too far. Branding; the work of marketing has done a great job of associating self-worth with products, however, I think it’s time to educate the young people against the dangers of believing what marketers are preaching. It’s time to teach them that their self-worth is based on their thoughts and good deeds, not on what brand they are wearing because brands only create a crutch that doesn’t help them with the true issues in life.
