Realistic Expectations Can Lead to Happiness

A Rose has thorns.

Real Expectations Last.

If you expect to be treated badly and consequently you are treated badly; you are not surprised or disappointed because your expectations have been met. It’s only when our expectations are not met that we have an emotional response to other people.

The goal in this life is to become a very good judge of other people’s character and to manage your own expectations.

Being surprised by other people’s actions is great if it’s a happy surprise, the opposite is not nearly as heart warming.

If you can learn not to expect anything from other people, (always be objective rather than subjective) and only have expectations for you own behaviour, you will live a much longer and happier life.
