The benefits of promoting other users on your social media platform can’t be understated, when you engage and share other people’s experience with your connections whether it’s a retweet on Twitter, a like on Facebook, a repin on Pinterest or share a link on LinkedIn, it’s beneficial to all
The feel good feeling you get from sharing good positive information that others will find useful is wonderful.
We all know that in the current economic environment there are a lot of Entrepreneurs and businesses who don’t have the in-house experience to carry out all the tasks required and the information you share may help their business survive and thrive. It may be something as small as a positive quote that gets them to raise up their head and move forward or it may be an infographic that acts as that eureka moment, bringing clarity where there was only a foggy idea of where they were going.
We also benefit by bringing ourselves to the attention of the businesses or individuals whose information we shared, they may reciprocate by sharing information about us and our businesses to their connections and thus down the line one of their connections may look for the product or service you provide.
The author of the original information is complimented by knowing that the work they may have spent many hours putting together is appreciated by their peers. There is a wonderful fulfilled feeling when you see your work re-tweeted many times or a post on Facebook liked and shared.
According to Facebook people who use the like button have 2.4 times the amount of friends than those of their friends who never like other people’s posts.

Great article. So many small businesses just don’t get this. They continue to place ads, never interacting and then wonder why it doesn’t work for them. There is a reason that it’s called “Social” Media!
As always, Brendan, right on the button! Pat
